Stonehouse
Stonehouse is one of the newer recreational communities in the Williamsburg area. The community is located about 20 minutes west of Williamsburg off exit 227 of I-64. The terrain here is very hilly... almost mountainous in some areas.
The homes vary widely in size and price. Prices in Stonehouse range from the high $200's to over $1 million. You will find that there is something for everyone in Stonehouse.
The Stonehouse HOA has developed a new website that has some great info and beautiful photos of the community.
Golfers... Stonehouse affords the best golf value in the area! In fact, they are advertising the membership as the "Best Golf Membership in America"! Your membership includes playing privileges at 5 wonderful golf courses. There's no initiation fees and a family membership is just $245/month ($164/individual). The developer's inventory in the first section is sold out, but there are some nice home sites on the re-sale market.
A new developer will begin construction the near future. The master plan, as approved by the James City County, calls for about 3500 more homes (wide variety of options), commercial development, and amenities. This will be the most exciting development in the Williamsburg area. The new area includes 4 miles on Ware Creek and 1 mile on the York River. Here are a couple of photos that show the scenery.
